SUCCESS!!!!
The
inaugural ATMBC has become the worlds first major international
freeride mountain bike event and all reviews are positive.
The
weather in the alpine town of Jindabyne turned on ideal conditions
over the three-day event, there were no major injuries (everybody
walked away
a few limps, but definitely walking), the media
were impressed and the sponsors and spectators want more!Television
coverage in Australia was massive with footage appearing on every
free to air network in Australia including Seven, Ten, Nine, SBS,
ABC and Fox Sports. Segments of the ATMBC were televised every day
from Friday 23 March through to Tuesday 27 March.
Print
media reviews have promised to be extensive with all three Australian
national bike magazines confirming editorial features and Australias
leading sport magazine, Inside Sport, printing a seven page spread.
Radio
coverage included three separate interviews on ABC, multiple coverage
on local radio stations and two separate interviews on Triple J.
Half
hour television special confirmed
Fox
Sports Australia has confirmed that the half-hour television production
of the ATMBC will be broadcast on 18 May on
Fox Sports Extreme at 5pm. A second broadcast is confirmed, however
dates are still to be released.
There
is also a chance the half hour special will appear on free-to-air
television
stay tuned for updates.
